ASSISTANT manager Steve Parkin felt City lacked an attacking edge to turn this afternoon’s goalless draw at Walsall into a third straight win.

The Bantams maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a second successive clean sheet.

Parkin said: “We were very disciplined and good tactically. I thought we were excellent second half and limited them to the shot at the end when Jordy (Jordan Pickford) made a great save.

“I was a little bit disappointed with us going forward. We didn’t move the ball as quickly and as accurately as in the Coventry game.

“We got in some really good situations in the final third but it was just a bit lacking. We never quite finished it off.”

Billy Clarke missed out after suffering a slight hamstring injury in training yesterday. He will not be ready to face his former club Crawley on Tuesday.
