Cleckheaton member Megan Clarke, aged 15, beat a field of professionals to win the WPGA One-Day Series event at Forest Pines today.
The teenager – one of a handful of amateurs invited to take part – surprised her more experienced opponents to shoot a level-par 74 and win by one shot from Sian James and Keely Chiericato.
Birdies came at the fourth, tenth, 15th and 17th as Megan showed her ability to more than hold her own at an elite level.
Her success came just weeks after Cleckheaton club mate Megan Lockett was crowned Welsh girls matchplay champion.
