Pilkington Recs 22, Bradford Dudley Hill 24

BRADFORD Dudley Hill snatched another victory from the jaws of defeat with a powerhouse second-half display at Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two promotion rivals Pilkington Recs.

Hill, who have specialised in late comebacks all season, looked to be on the way to a heavy defeat in a lacklustre first half that left them trailing 20-6,with only a converted try from second-row forward Elliot Cousins to show for their efforts.

Hill then staged their gallant fightback with three killer blows around the hour mark.

Full back Simon Sewell skipped over to enhance his leading points total, quickly followed by prop forward Mike Kite as Hill took the game by the scruff of the neck.

Hooker and man of the match Tony Huby then used all his guile and experience to reach the chalk, allowing stand-off Nathan Kitson to add his fourth conversion to leave the St Helens hosts stunned.

The Parry Laners held on to claim the spoils, which saw them leapfrog Pilks into third spot, just one point behind Elland with a game in hand.
