Jack Brooks, Rich Pyrah and Adil Rashid all struck twice apiece as Yorkshire restricted Leicestershire to a below-par 236-8 at the halfway stage of today’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash at Grace Road.
Brooks finished with excellent figures of 2-26 from ten overs, having struck twice in a miserly six-over new ball burst. He bowled Angus Robson and Greg Smith.
Leicestershire, invited to bat first, did manage to recover from 118-6 in the 30th over, thanks in the main to Matt Boyce’s 74 not out.
He shared in stands of 54 and 62 for the seventh and eight wickets respectively with Tom Wells and Ben Raine, who hit 43.
