TOM Olbison and Adam Sidlow were tonight revealed as the latest players to commit themselves to the Bulls.

Homegrown second-rower Olbison, who has progressed through the ranks at Odsal, has penned a two-year deal, while former Salford prop Sidlow – who joined Bradford ahead of the 2013 campaign – has signed a one-year contract.

The pair have followed Dale Ferguson and Lee Gaskell in agreeing to stay at the Bulls in the wake of the club’s relegation.

Head coach Jimmy Lowes has already bolstered his squad with the acquisition of Castleford prop Dan Fleming and Salford full back Jake Mullaney as Bradford prepare for life in the Championship.

Lowes is delighted to have secured the services of Olbison, 23, and Sidlow, 26, saying: “Adam is a good old trucker and he gets through a load of work.

“We’ll probably need that in the next couple of years and will try and complement it with the explosive types.

“You need a player like Adam, who can do a good job for 80 minutes if asked to.

“He’s a good signing – and Olbison is a good, young kid with a really good attitude.

“He’s got a massive amount of potential and the thing I like about Tom is that he will probably fulfil his potential because his attitude is that good.

“They are two good signings and we’re getting there now.”

The news was announced at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford this evening, where Bulls officials addressed supporters and revealed plans for the relaunch of the club’s lottery.

Fair play to the club and the board.

The quality of players signed is better than I expected. However if we want to bounce back they need to be when we go I to the mini league of 8 including the bottom 4 from Super League. That's when it will really matter.

So far so good

Considering the standard isn't as good in the championship, the majority of players we have are good enough to get us out. Need a really good scrum half though to play alongside Gaskell if gale is leaving and Elliot kear has shown he's a more than capable deputy at full back if injuries kick in. Shaun Ainscough worth considering as well he put the effort in, but he can't expect big wages which I think he's resigned to accepting

I think if we can keep the core of the team and make some shrewd signings along with investing in a decent back room staff then ultimately beating the likes of Wakefield and Salford may well be on the cards.

Tom O is a player with a massive future in the game and will one play one season under JL if we do not go straight back up as he will be poached by a SL team.

Sidslow needs to work on his pace off season as he is at best a one trick pony.

I have to say after reading some of the posts on the site:
You haven't read the article have you, and your knowledge isn't half that of his is it? So why not keep those negetive thoughts to yourselves and allow the club to re group with backing from you all instead of the constant moaning about a players ability. It's disengenious to suggest you know better than the coach.
I have faith in his choice., and the one thing a good coach will never accept is people calling his players, my advice therefore is never let Jimmy Lowes hear your criticism of his Players?

With apologies to all the genuine commentators, you know who you are. so let's stick with Jimmy and his knowledge .

Agreed. Lowes has already improved the defence which was the main issue. Defence is as much about frame of mind and JL seems to have improved that.

Totally agree. Who knows where we might be if we had changed coach and assistant earlier say after being thrashed at Wigan. Wasnt it Fakir who said that there was more emphasis on defence under JL and things were lax under the previous regime. Sundays performance was the best since Mick Potter left IMO.Everybody knew what their job was in defence and no stepping out of the line. COYB
