Bradford Dudley Hill 34-10 Ovenden

Bradford Dudley Hill scored an unanswered 28 points in the second half to romp home in impressive style against National Conference Division Two promotion rivals Ovenden at Parry Lane.

Hill took an early lead when centre Aiden Batey crossed, leaving hooker Nathen Kitson to add the conversion, before the Halifax visitors hit back with two unconverted tries from three quarters Aaron Brown and Marin Mullen, which together with a successful penalty attempt saw them edge in front 10-6 at the break.

Hill, who were the first to adapt to the searing heat on the restart, were soon back in control when full back Simon Sewell made the whitewash and added the first of his three extras.

Leading try-scorer Batey increased his tally to 12 this season when he posted his brace ten minutes later and prop forward Adam Jefferson tightened the screw further with a powerhouse effort.

Poacher in chief Kitson helped himself to a touchdown, which he converted, as the visitors wilted and wingman Jamie Brentley ensured the forthcoming victory celebrations with the last try four minutes from time.
