Stanningley 26, Bradford Dudley Hill 44
PROLIFIC try-poacher Nathan Kitson grabbed yet another hat-trick as Bradford Dudley Hill closed in on the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two promotion pace-setters with a convincing derby win at Stanningley.
Hill took a lead they never relinquished when second-row forward Harry Hall crossed, leaving full back Simon Sewell to add the first of six conversions after the bottom-of-the table hosts had scored an unconverted early try.
Kitson soon followed what was to be a well-worn path to the whitewash and further efforts from substitute forward Adam Jefferson and stand-off Ryan Dickinson enabled the Parry Laners to establish a healthy 22-10 advantage at the interval.
Wingman Neil Wall powered over on the restart before Hall secured his brace following a great off-load from scrum half Andy Robinson.
The long-legged packman then turned provider when he raced clear to hand on for Kitson to claim his second.
Stanningley belied their lowly status with two converted touchdowns to keep the pot boiling.
But it was only a matter of time before man-of-the-match Kitson, who has scored ten tries in five matches since his return to the blue and gold jersey from Hunslet Warriors, sped over for his third of the game.
The victory leaves Hill just a point behind second-placed Elland with an all-important game in hand.
