Bradford Bulls want to track down a young fan left distraught by the club's relegation and help "put the smile back on his face."

The Bulls went down for the first time in their Super League history at the John Smith's stadium in Huddersfield on Sunday afternoon, and it was all too much for one young supporter who was pictured in tears in yesterday's Telegraph & Argus.

Despite the crushing 52-26 defeat to Huddersfield Giants, fans stood by the team and belted out "Bradford 'til I die" on numerous occasions during the second half of the dramatic game.

There had been a glimmer of hope during the first half as the Bulls took the lead on three occasions, but they eventually lost their brave fight to stay in the top flight, leading to tears in the stands.

A club spokesman said: "We want to find the young lad and try to put a smile back on his face.

"We want our fans to feel wanted and be a part of the future of the club."

The fan's family can contact the club on info@bradfordbulls.co.uk.
