THE Isle of Man is rapidly becoming a second home for Bradford's premier motor cycling family.

The Harrisons picked up six victories, two second places, two thirds and a fourth in the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company International Southern 100 road races at Billown.

Dad Conrad finished first and third in sidecars with Jason Crowe on the four-and-quarter-mile circuit on their Shelbourne Honda 600.

Meanwhile, in solo events, Adrian came third and fourth on his 650 Kawasaki, with Conrad's other son Dean taking the lion's share of glory with five golds and two silvers on either a 650 Kawasaki, 1000 Kawasaki or 600 Kawasaki.

Formula Two sidecar racer Conrad is now reaping the rewards of 20 years' involvement with the Isle of Man TT, where he started from the bottom with little or no sponsorship – and two small boys to boot.

After years of effort and improvement, he finally began to achieve top-ten finishes and then top five before the pinnacle of winning the TT sidecar class in 2014.

Now Lee Patterson, who takes part in all the British Championship rounds but not the TT or the Southern 100, has sponsored not only Conrad but also both his boys over the years.

Adrian began racing at club meetings in 2008 after watching Dean take part for some time and the Ocean Ford 650 race at the Southern 100 was his first international podium place, brother Dean keeping him in check by winning the event.

Dean progressed quickly from club racing to being a future star of international road racing, picking up his first TT victory on the ER650 in 2014 and backing that up by winning five of his seven Southern 100 races.

He was only beaten by Ivan Lintin and Guy Martin at Billown.
