Yorkshire had a lot of work still to do in order to claim an LV= County Championship victory over Durham at Headingley.

Andrew Gale’s side took three wickets during the fourth afternoon, two of them going to Adil Rashid, as the visitors advanced their second innings to 261-6 from 89 overs.

They would begin the evening session, in which a minimum of 32 overs needed to be bowled, with a slender lead of 66 runs after following on.

Michael Richardson advanced to 95 before he was bowled by Jack Brooks as the visitors slipped to 250-6 after 86 overs.

Rashid had earlier trapped Gordon Muchall lbw four balls into the afternoon session before breaking a 44-run stand inside 20 overs between Richardson and Paul Collingwood when he had the latter player caught behind.
