Bradford City have switched opponents for their final pre-season friendly.

Instead of travelling to Morecambe on August 2, the Bantams will now host Colin Cooper's Hartlepool at Valley Parade.

The change was agreed with the Shrimps after the clubs were drawn to play each other in the Capital One Cup first round at the Globe Arena ten days later.

Hartlepool's visit will mean an early return for defender Matthew Bates, who joined up with former City number two Cooper after being released at the end of last season.
