Heckmondwike seem likely to climb to mid-table in the Northern Fours League after the latest round in Stockport yesterday.

The Firth Park visitors finished fourth of the six teams with 50 points, with Darren Kent leading the way with 15.

Northern Fours League: Stockport 71, Bury Comets 59, Astley & Tyldesley 58, Heckmondwike 50 (Darren Kent 15, Jake Wood 14, Laura Watson 12, Justin Naylor 6. Reserve: Tom Whitwam 3), Bury Meteors 34, Hull 26.

Heckmondwike's Junior League match was also at Stockport on Sunday afternoon, and Whitwam and Will Naylor showed why they are high in the under-13 individual standings by returning a 16-point maximum and 13 points respectively. Under-ten Bella Naylor added nine points.

There will be no training on Wednesday due to a league match at Sheffield but it will resume next week at Firth Park.
