The thirteenth BRADFORD MILLENNIUM WAY RELAY takes place this Sunday on a revised course.

The first leg, starting from Wagon Lane in Bingley is extended half a mile to change over at Penistone Park in Haworth.

The second leg to Laycock is reduced by half a mile before continuing on as previously to handovers in Silsden and Ilkley.

The first teams are expected to reach the final baton-change on the moor by Wells House by noon and reach the finish at Wagon Lane by 1.30pm.

The overall prize is likely to be fought between traditional rivals Bingley Harriers, Wharfedale Harriers, Airedale Athletics and possibly Pudsey and Bramley AC.

Bingley’s tough course record of 5hr 29min 28sec will only be under threat is the weather stays kind and the best pairings for all five legs of this 47-mile race are available.

Host club Saltaire Striders again welcome continental visitors for the weekend, staying at the Greenwood Centre at Swain House.
