Marwan Koukash backs Bradford Bulls High Court challenge
Salford chairman Marwan Koukash has backed the Bulls' decision to launch a High Court bid to win back their docked points, even though his club could be dragged into the Super League relegation battle if they are successful.
The Bulls had six points deducted for going into administration and are currently nine behind 12th-placed Salford with 10 matches left of the regular season.
"I am fully supportive of Marc Green in going to the High Court, even if it is at our expense," said Koukash, whose wife Mandy made an unsuccessful attempt to buy Bradford from the administrator in April.
"I hope for their sake, they get their points back if they are entitled to them. You can't allow an injustice to occur.
"It's about time we found out what's going on."
A spokesman for the RFL said the governing body was not in a position to issue a statement while Wakefield chairman Michael Carter, who said earlier this year he would be forced to consider his future in the game if Bradford won the points back, declined to comment.
