FORMER Otley fly half Ben Cooper is set to face Wharfedale next season.
The Scotland Under-20 international, who hails from Nuneaton, has signed for Coventry in SSE National League One.
Cooper, 20, who admitted he had also had interest from France and Scotland, said: "I am really pleased that the worry about where I am going to be next season is finally over.
"For me it is great to be coming home. I have been away since I was 16 really.
"Coventry is a club that always meant something to me as I was growing up.
"I think I can offer competition for places with Matt Jones and can offer another goal-kicking option."
Cooper also hopes the move to the Midlands can re-ignite his international ambitions.
He has also represented his country at under-17, under-18 and under-19 level and added: "Obviously I would love to be playing at international level again.
"I have had some of my favourite rugby memories in a Scotland shirt, particularly at the Junior World Championship last year, so naturally want to be involved at senior level.
"But at the moment I want to concentrate on developing as a player but more importantly help Coventry in any way I can."
