GIRLINGTON are still leading the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League after defeating second-placed Heaton in Group A.

The front-runners Girlington scored 169, with Zahid Khaliq scoring 49 and Sohail Butt taking 4-33 for Heaton, who were then bowled out for 88 and drop to fifth.

Bradford Moor have moved into second after a two-wicket win over Great Horton Church A, who scored 86, Masrur Ahmed taking 5-34. Moor reached 87-8, despite Umer Masood's 6-22.

Salem Athletic climb from fourth to third after a winning draw against Apperley Bridge.

Athkletic hit the highest score of the day – 285-6, with Waseem Khan making 57and Masood Ahmed 65. Apperley Bridge replied with 150-8, with captain Mohammad Junaid scoring 43 not out and salvaging 11 vital points.

Interlink notched a winning draw against Cambing after making 235-8, Ibrahim Bismillah hitting a splendid 105 not out. Cambing A made 174-8, Mohammed Data taking 4-24.

It was a family affair as Bradford Gymkhana A beat Yorkshire LPS A by 63 runs. Gymkhana made 169-7, with Mohammed Shoaib junior scoring 86 not out and Pradip Patel taking 4-58. LPS were then bowled out for 106 as Mohammed Shoaib senior took 5-13.

In Group B, Omars lead the way after scoring 239-8 against Great Horton Church, Saad Mirza hitting 108 and Majid Hussain 45. Great Horton Church, playing with only ten men, replied with 188, of which Tamrez Khan made 118, Behram Khan bagging 4-40.

VVS Laxman are still second after defeating Greenfield by 107 runs. Laxmans scored 243-8 (Mukesh Patel 48) and Greenfield were all out for 136.

Salem Athletic remain third after beating Hallfield, who made 117 (Nayyar Iftikhar 41, Umar Daraz 4-48) by three wickets. Muhammad Awais (59no) also starred for Athletic.

Bowling Baptists defeated bottom club Allerton by 29 runs after making 231-8 (Javed Bashir 58), Allerton replying with 201 (Mohammed Azeem 66, Nabeel Nawaz 51, Akhtar Mahmood 5-29).

Fourth-placed Bradford Gymkhana B lost to Girlington B by 32 runs, Girlington B scored 134 (Faizan Khan 4-10) before Gymkhana B were dismissed for 102.

In Group C, Yorkshire Friends are the new leaders after deposing Hallfield B, who they defeated by six wickets.

Hallfield B scored 112, Yorkshire Friends replying with 115-4, Shazad Akhtar making 55.

West Bowling have climbed to second from third after beating next-to-bottom Yorkshire LPS B by 83 runs.

After a slow start, West Bowling scored 133-3, with Chris Carter unbeaten on 69. Yorkshire LPS B were all out for 50 after tight bowling by Hassan Ali and Anjum Munir, who took 4-12 and 4-22 respectively.

Bottom club Great Horton Meths A won their first game of the season, defeating fourth-placed Mandhata by 50 runs.

Meths scored192, with Anthony Moss(85) and Dan Jackson (52) sharing a second-wicket stand of 127.

Nitesh Lad took 5-38 for Mandhata, who were out for 142, with Dilan Patel contributing 53. Gareth Llewellin and Nigel Ramsden took 4-51 and 4-16 respectively for Meths.

Muff Field A beat third-from-bottom Mayfield by two wickets, the latter scoring 129 all out (Sajad Ahmed 45no). Muff Field A replied with 130-8 (Paul Leach 63).

In a mid-table clash, Cross Roads-Daisy Hill defeated Parkside by seven wickets. Parkside scored 105 and Daisy Hill 110-3.

In Group D, leaders TABS lost their first league game of the season by 52 runs to Buttershaw St Paul's.

St Paul's scored 170-6, with Kieran Bolton (55no) and Dermot McGrath (53) sharing a third-wicket partnership of 102. In reply, TABS were all out for 128, with AB Mughal scoring 41.

Cambing B remain third after an eight-wicket win over Muff Field B, who were all out for 98. Yasir Ali hit an unbeaten 51 in Cambing's 99-2.

Mayfield B, who had only nine batsmen, stayed fourth after defeating ten-man Great Horton Meths by 52 runs. Mayfield were bowled out for 88 but Meths could only manage 36 after fine bowling by Paul Cuthbertson (5-21) and Gary Smith (4-13)

Bradford Indians gained a winning draw against Central YMCA. Indians scored 148, with Ray Brevdas taking 4-58, and YMCA replied with 136-9, Kandap Nathwani bagging 4-28.
