OAKWORTH are on their own at the top of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division One after they hammered Thornton by nine wickets and Ingrow St John's tied their match with Crossflatts.

The Cure Hill side travelled to Booth Bridge Lane and hustled the home side out for 86 in 28.3 overs as Matt House claimed 6-33 and Michael Scarborough 3-14.

Brannan Lawn (39no) and Robert Hopkinson (34no) took the Keighley side to the points in 21.1 overs.

Crossflatts, chasing 162, needed 24 off nine overs with two well-set batsmen. However, things blew up badly and they needed a risky single off the last ball to tie the match.

Foulridge won a low-scoring game with Cowling at Noyna. Going first, they were knocked over for 74 as Martyn Dalby took 6-32. The Keighley Road side were then shot out for 49.

Barrowford's form has dipped recently and they succumbed again at home to Bingley Congs.

The Beckfoot Lane side posted 140-8, thanks Tom Keighley (39) and Ryan Jennings (37). The Bull Holme Oval side were dismissed for only 87 in reply as Harry Greenhalgh took 5-25, including four wickets in an over.

At Haworth, Riddlesden won the toss and batted. Goher Ayub (39) and Dave Robinson (38) were the mainstays of their 155, with Steve Bell finishing with 4-33 and Richard Ellis 3-42.

The Bronte side got bogged down and closed on 144-6 with Peter Gower (40no) and Harry Reynoldson (24no) putting on 41 for the seventh wicket.

There was a nail-biting finish at Shires Lane. Visitors Haworth Road set off like a train, blasting 82 in quick time with Mohammed Zahid making 49 and Chris Griggs 31.

When both were out, things settled down and the innings progressed to 173 after 44.4 overs, with Aslam Hussein taking 4-27 and Duncan Ward 3-44.

Embsay's batting frailty came to the fore again and, despite 40 from Josh Robinson, they reached 131-9.

Ward went on to make 74 not out to go with Scott Robinson's 15 not out as the hosts crept home by one wicket with just two balls to spare.

Glusburn are five points clear at the top of Division Two after they beat second-placed Chatburn by 90 runs. The Park Field side amassed 225-8, with Ian Simmons making 81. Nick Williamson's 6-52 ensured that the Ribble Valley side were never in the hunt.

Sutton move into second after handing out an 85-run beating to Oakworth II at Cure Hill. David Snowden top-scored with 50 as the Royd Hill side made 207. Simon Doane then took 5-55 to restrict the home side to 122, of which Sam Nettleton made 27.

Bradley moved into contention after they beat Sandy Lane by seven wickets at Matthews Lane.

The Greenwood Park side were castled for just 58, and without Andy Blackburn's 41 the innings would have looked very sick. James Heseltine spun his way to 5-6 off 22 balls.

It took Bradley 26 overs to reach their target for the loss of three wickets. Neil Andrews made 33 not out as Steve Carass took 3-13.

Hepworth & Idle won the toss and put Long Lee in at Golden View. The hosts blasted 215-9, with Hasnehn Haider making 88 as Dave Matthews took 3-34.

Then Matt Taylor bagged 4-26 to help the Westfield Lane side back to the hut for 160, with Craig Edwards 37, Tim Shackleton 34 and Sean McEvoy 34 being the main run-getters.

Wayne Exley made 79 of Ingrow's 190-9 at Hainworth as Chris Mitchell claimed 5-43. Visitors Wilsden closed 60 short of their target, with Jake Hoyle taking 4-27.

Barrowford II poor form continued at Denholme, who made 172-4 with Adam Taylor (47), Tom Greenwood (36) and Matt Wear (29) doing the business with the bat. The Bull Holme side slipped to 115 all out as Matty Goward finished with 6-30.

Gargrave maintained their good form and continue to head Division Three, after accounting for Bradford & Bingley III by six wickets at Skipton Road.

The Wagon Laners could only manage 101, despite the best efforts of Lawrence Davis (38) and Will Grace and 'Mr Extras', who both scored 22 as John Beckwith took 4-24. Lee Barrett (32) and Jonah Smith (29) set up the six-wicket victory.

There was a humdinger of a high-scoring game at Cononley, where Ingrow St John's II were the visitors.

The Saints smashed a fantastic 275, with Rohid Ali making 92, Abid Hussain 60 and Mohammed Naveed 47.

The reply was stunning, with Herbie Starkey hitting seven sixes and six fours in a brilliant knock of 115 not out.

He was ably assisted by Joel Grainger (59no) as the pair put on an undefeated 116 for the fifth wicket to see their side to the spoils by six wickets with eight balls to spare. Tim Starkey chipped in with 52.

There was another close finish between Haworth Road II and Embsay II at Baildon Bottom.

The Shires Laners made 177, with Morgan Davies, finally back after exams, hitting six fours and three sixes as he made a fine 77 to go with Simon Holt's 32 as Matthew Bailey took 5-89.

Despite 45 from Paul Rodwell, the home side's innings was stumbling along, and after 39 overs they had reached 120-7. Then Rehan Ahmed (22no) and Bailey (26no) set their stall out and some swift running, plus a few lusty blows, took them closer and closer.

The last over arrived with ten wanted for victory. Entrusted to 16-year-old Sam Arkwright, the over produced only seven runs and the visitors took the points by just two runs. Holt bowled 22 overs to finish with 4-55.

Second-placed Pendle Forest entertained Airedale and lost by two wickets. The Fence side struggled to 97 as Scott Ritchie claimed 4-24. In reply, Matthew Cox (50) and 'Mr Extras' (18) were the only two to make double figures. However, they got home in the 33rd over.

Down at Sandylands, John Stuttard (4-22) and Sam Smith (4-52) had visitors Thornton II back in the pavilion for 100. CI's reply was dominated by Martin Seward (34no) and Ian Henderson (32) as they reached the winning post in the 26th over with three wickets down.

Yet another close finish came at Wilsden II, where Haworth West End got home by one wicket. Ben Reynard made 43 and Charlie Shimmin took 5-39 as the hosts made 123.

The Bronte side reached their target with just seven balls to spare. Josh Holt top-scored with 36 as Mudasser Riaz took 5-37.

Eldwick & Gilstead slipped from top spot in Division Four after they went down by 39 runs at home to Glusburn II, with Paul McCullough (65) and Dominic Mortimer (6-27) being the stars for the winners.

Riddlesden II move into top spot after despatching Haworth II by 127 runs. Steve Kernan (69), Danny Spencer (44) and Darren Shield (32no) did the damage with the bat and Spencer was the outstanding bowler with 6-36.

Bingley Congs II made 155-7 at home to Ingrow with Rick Andrews making 52. Then Michael Baines (5-21) helped the Hainworth side back to the hut 54 runs short.

Hepworth & Idle II continued their recent good form at home to Foulridge. Paul Medley (100), Martin McCully (45) and Dale Wood (40) helped the hosts to 265-8. The Noyna side were knocked over for 85, with Craig Smith taking 5-47.

Adrian Shires made 79 as Denholme II made 178 at Ryshworth Park, with Charlotte Boulton taking six wickets. The hosts capitulated to 43 all out.

The battle of the top two in Division Five went the way of Gargrave II, who saw off Chatburn II by six wickets in the Ribble Valley. Ben Wood (4-28) and Joe Wood (3-8) were the main wicket-takers as the hosts were dismissed for 71. The visitors cantered to an easy victory.

Sutton II are second a point behind after a two-wicket win over Skipton CI II at Royd Hill. The Sandylands side made a modest 105, with Dave Suter jnr top-scoring with 42 as Tony Walton took 5-21 and Sam Solley 3-24. The hosts were made to work hard for the points, with Simon Todd making 26 as Rob Suter took 3-38.

Only Paul Hogg (21no) offered much resistance as Cononley II were dismissed for 57 at Penistone Park, with Harry Sherlock taking 3-13 and Stuart MacLennan 3-15. James Nowell (40no) took the Bronte side home by nine wickets.

Evergreen John Cleaver hit 90 and Ben Davy 43 as Cowling II posted 189-6 at home to Long Lee II.

The Golden View side were all out for 141, with Craig Pullen scoring 54 and Andrew Greenwood 43 as Sajid Shafait took 5-40.

Finally Bradley II rattled up 249-5 at Sandy Lane II, who replied with 90-9.
