IT IS as you were at the top of Division A of the Dales Council League, with both joint leaders Halifax Direct and Shipley Providence claiming maximum points following the latest round of results.

Shipley Providence (211) eased to a comfortable 114-run at home to Pudsey St Lawrence (97), where Johnny Thompson hit exactly 100. He was assisted by Andrees Mohammed, who made 57 for home side Prov. Halifax Direct (284-7) also had a century-maker in their ranks when Farhan Ali hit an unbeaten 125 in helping dispose of bottom side Adel, who were put out for just 113 in reply.

New Wortley (173) remain just three points behind the top two after a 58-run win at Farnley Hill (115, Tony Leighton 51).

Leeds Sikh (134) are up to fourth spot in the table after a 54-run win at home to Tong Park Esholt (80), where Andrew Barker (Tong Park) returned a splendid 6-26, only to be upstaged by Harcharan Seehra, who returned a magical 6-7 for Sikh when visitors Esholt batted.

In the remaining fixture that took place, Cookridge A (127-9) registered their first win of the season over last season's champions Pudsey Congs, who were shot out for just 57, with Jhangir Gulzar (5-11) doing most of the damage when the visitors replied.

Division B leaders Bradford Moor (190, Naveed Andrabi 55no) continue to march on at the top after a 74-run win at nearest rivals Farsley, where Khizar Hanif (5-17) was highly instrumental in dismissing the home side for 116 in reply.

Following the defeat of Farsley, Undercliffe (107-2, Umair Iqbal 45no, Jamil Ahmed 37no) are up to second in the league after a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Drighlington/Whitehall (106).

Division C saw the batting display of the day, where Ali Malik smashed 18 sixes out of 153 for leaders Crompark, who finished at 343-6 with Shiva Khan (50) joining in the runs fiesta.

In reply, shell-shocked Pudsey St Lawrence B were dismissed for just 98 in reply.

Newcomers Morley (189) remain in second place in the table after a 125-run win over visitors Wibsey Park Chapel, who were dismissed for just 64 thanks in the main to Andrew Kirkwood (6-38) and Dan Nelson, who weighed in with 3-1).
