Former Bradford Bulls half-back Kyle Briggs has joined Dewsbury Rams from Featherstone Rovers on an initial one-month loan.

The 26-year-old featured for Rovers in their recent encounter with the Rams and is in his second spell with the club.

Briggs, who played for the Bulls under Mick Potter, scored 376 points in just 43 appearances during his first spell with Featherstone, including 32 tries.

Rams chairman Mark Sawyer said: “We’d like to thank Featherstone Rovers for their assistance in facilitating this deal and allowing Kyle to join his preferred club.

“Discussions with Featherstone are ongoing and there is a possibility that Kyle’s stay could be extended should both parties favour that route.”

Meanwhile, the Rams' utility forward Tommy Gallagher will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2015 season after signing a new deal.
