BRADFORD Dudley Hill once again showed their ability to pull a game out of the fire when all seemed lost.

Hill looked to be heading for a pasting when they trailed title contenders Pilkington Recs 24-6 at the interval in their Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two encounter.

But they stormed back to delight the Parry Lane home crowd by emerging 25-24 winners.

The hosts only had a converted try from debutant Harry Hall to show for their endeavours in the first half against the classy St Helens visitors, who showed what a good outfit they were.

But it was a different story on the restart, with centres Alex Dickinson and Aiden Batey quickly making the whitewash.

Full back Dave Halley kept the momentum going with a further effort and when former Wibsey Warriors player Hall collected his brace with an identical run off scrum half Andy Robinson, wingman Neil Wall slotted his second conversion to tie the scores at 24-24.

Then with only seconds remaining, Wall positioned himself in the dummy-half slot and launched a mammoth drop goal to see Hill take the spoils in what had been a brilliant second-half performance.

The home side impressed both in defence and attack, prop Connor Wood and loose forward Hall dominating proceedings in the second stanza.
