EQUESTRIAN:
Bingley rider Charlotte Brear impressed at the Bramham Horse Trials – her first international event.
She was the highest-placed amateur in 18th position on board Siren in the three-star event and climbed the most places from the show jumping to the end of the cross-country.
“I drive myself to competitions, groom for myself, ride and then sort out Siren,” said 26-year-old Brear.
“We have regular dressage lessons with Alex Pearson, which has helped Siren’s weakest phase no end, and we are gradually getting better scores.
“After Chatsworth Advanced and now Bramham, we will take a little break before the Gatcombe British Open and Allerton Park (Advanced).”
