Adam Lyth and Alex Lees remained unbeaten through the morning session of day three as they added 337 for the first wicket in Yorkshire’s second innings against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Yorkshire took lunch after 111 overs with a lead of 222 and five sessions left in the match.
They have shared the highest-ever opening partnership recorded against Northants, with Lyth reaching 182 not out and Lees unbeaten on 131.
Lyth even brought up the 300-stand with a six over long-off against Matt Spriegel’s off-spin.
The only thing Yorkshire have got to be mindful of is the weather because there is a lot of talk of rain later today and tomorrow.
