Bradford Bulls 16, Huddersfield Giants 54

The Bulls’ Magic Weekend misery continued with a seventh defeat in eight years in the annual event as Huddersfield marched to an emphatic victory.

Francis Cummins’ men were down to the bare bones with Adam Sidlow their only recognised prop but they performed impressively during the opening quarter.

Danny Addy opened the scoring early on and Joe Wardle replied before Jamie Foster restored the Bulls’ lead.

Yet two tries in quick succession shortly before half-time through Luke Robinson and Jodie Broughton made it 24-10 at the break.

The Giants ran riot after the restart with further tries from Danny Brough, Scott Grix, Ukuma Ta’ai, Anthony Mullally and Larne Patrick before Foster scored a late consolation.

The result left the Bulls on zero points after 13 rounds and increased their relegation fears ahead of next Saturday’s trip to Catalan Dragons.

Please please get some backbone down the rhs George, Kear and Gale are defending like kids. Gaskell at fullback Doesn't want to know, in fact he looks like he would walk away now given the chance.
Sorry to say the game is over now.
We have wasted money on such as Ferguson as he has done nothing for us so far and now it's too late to effect our chances he may as well be offered around and try to offload him and Blythe to save money.

Predictable!!!! .When you have only one recognised prop instead of four,at any level it's suicide.I am peed off!.Going to watch Saints and wire, see it through. It will be a very long time before a Bradford side take part in a so called magic weekend again we are finished in S/L. Thanks to the new format next year,as opposed to the two teams who are promoted this year, we have to play "it's a knockout" halfway through the season. If we finish in the top four of the championship! with the four bottom S/L clubs.Would you not have thought, that as a precursor to the new format.that the bottom two teams in S/L ,played off in a" round robin format" to decide promotion and relegation in S/L this year.Red Hall are very good at moving the Goalpost's. It would surprise me, that if the Bulls make the play offs next year, they have to play with brushes up their AR**S.

See the excuses rolling out about it being unfair Bulls played Giants.
Cas are a better team than the giants acording to the league so Wakefield had a harder game still.
Any doesn't matter. Salford, Wakefield and London all lost so it's not as if the Bulls have been disadvantaged.

I can't believe the comments on this site. We were without 7 players for todays game. We had 1 recognised prop playing, and we were playing against one of the biggest packs in Super League.Any team would have suffered in this situation. I thought the players could not be faulted for effort and if we get some bodies back we could get something at Catalans.

Is this squad go enough to compete in the Championship? There will be little investment in playing staff, if any, next year and I fear that our current crop look too light for even Championship grade rugby. Does it also mean that they will all need to find a full-time job in another profession, to supplement their income, as, I assume, Championship players are not full-time professionals?
