The Bulls have today announced the signing of utility forward Jay Pitts and centre Joe Arundel from Hull FC.
The duo have agreed loan deals with the club and are to this morning begin training with their new team-mates.
Pitts, 24, a former Wakefield and Leeds player, can operate in the front and back row and is eligible to make his Bulls debut this weekend as Bradford welcome Catalan Dragons to The Provident Stadium – in round five of the Tetley's Challenge Cup.
Although Arundel is cup tied for Sunday's clash, the 22-year-old one-time Castleford Tigers talent will come into contention for next month's visit of Warrington Wolves.
Coach Francis Cummins has expressed his delight at the club's double capture, insisting both Pitts and Arundel will add pace and power to his squad.
“Jay and Joe are young, hungry and hugely talented individuals who we are extremely excited to have on board,” said Cummins.
“I coached Jay at Leeds, so I know a fair bit about him, and Joe has a proven track record at this level. Both of them need to be playing in the sport's top flight and we are pleased to be able to provide them with opportunities to do so.
“Jay will bolster our pack, as he has an ability to play in a number of different positions, while Joe provides much-needed competition in our three-quarter line.
“I am sure both of them are itching to get out there and we are excited about what they can bring to the team.
“Considering their ages, both Jay and Joe have an immense amount of Super League experience, which we believe will pay dividends for us on the weeks and months ahead.”
Ossett-born Pitts has made a total of 88 appearances in Super League, having enjoyed spells with the Rhinos, Wildcats and the Black and Whites – his parent club.
He will wear the No.33 jersey and is in-line to feature this coming Sunday, with Arundel – who has scored 21 tries in 55 first-grade appearances – taking up the No.34 shirt.
