Yorkshire have so far struggled to make significant inroads into Northamptonshire’s second innings during today’s third day of their LV= County Championship match at Headingley.

After a near three-hour delay due to rain, play resumed at 2.15pm with the visitors on 15-0 in their second innings having been asked to follow-on in reply to Yorkshire’s 459-9 declared.

But the White Rose have only been able to take two Northants wicket through until tea, with Ryan Sidebottom getting Stephen Peters caught behind in the ninth over and Kyle Coetzer the same way in the 34th - the last of the session.

Northants have reached tea at 114-2, including 45 not out for former Pudsey Congs and Bowling Old Lane all-rounder James Middlebrook. He shared 89 for the second wicket with Coetzer (39). They were bowled out for 94 first time around.
