There was a general abundance of high scores on the opening day of the new Dales Council League season, however this was not the case in the game between defending Division A champions Pudsey Congs and Leeds Sikh.
Batting first, Sikh were dismissed for just 84 (Zahid Mahmood claiming 5-35 and Jamie Lorryman 3-20).
This small total proved too many for Congs though, who were tumbled out for a paltry 53. Ajay Kamboj returned match-winning figures of 6-13 for the visitors.
New Wortley started where they left off from last season, blasting a mammoth 319-7 at Cookridge, with Taimoor Khan hitting 111, supported by Saeed Mirza (86) and Safiullah Kahn (52).
In reply, hosts Cookridge were shot out for just 75 (Farhan Saeed 5-12).
