Forget the maths, City are safe!
Adam Reach’s stunning free-kick clinched their first home win in five attempts in his final appearance at Valley Parade.
The win over sixth-placed Posh, who played the second half with ten men after Shaun Brisley’s red card, puts the Bantams nine points clear of the bottom four.
And with the massive advantage in goal difference, they can relax over a job done.
It was nervier than it should have been but City were far more positive than the last two home games against Walsall and Oldham.
Sub Kyle Bennett had a point-blank header saved and James Hanson, back from injury, saw a late effort scrambled off the line.

Very good half from #bcafc Parky has set us up well with Reach in the hole and the two units out wide. These look poor, especially post-red— @Holden_Tight 18 April 2014

RT @SuperPosh7: I'd be happy with that starting Xl for the play off final, so they shouldn't even break a sweat against lowly BRADFORD #puf…— @ChrisHilton83 18 April 2014
Considering it's a lovely sunny evening everywhere else, it's flippin' cold here!
Peterborough first-choice goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik is ill so Joe Day comes in between the posts.
His last appearance was an inglorious one when they lost 5-4 at Oldham after leading 4-2 with 20 minutes to go...
There are three changes in all.
PETERBOROUGH: Day, Little, Brisley, Baldwin, Ntlhe, Payne, Newell, Rowe, Ajose, Washington, Assombalonga. Subs: Alcock, Bostwick, McCann, Nugent, McQuoid, Isgrove, Lynch.
Hanson back.. This is a Good Friday indeed! Great news! #bcafc— @aaronbower 18 April 2014
James Hanson is back for City tonight.
The centre forward's return is one of two changes from the goalless draw last Friday at Rotherham.
Hanson replaces Matty Dolan and Raffaele De Vita comes in for Kyel Bennett so it looks like City will revert to 4-4-2. It's De Vita's first start since November 9.
Aaron Mclean is also on the bench against the club where he made his name after recovering from a hamstring problem.
CITY: McLaughlin, Darby, McArdle, Davies, Drury, De Vita, Jones, Doyle, Reach, Stead, Hanson. Subs: Dolan, Thompson, Bennett, Yeates, McHugh, Mclean, Barker.
Good evening and welcome from Valley Parade as City face sixth-placed Peterborough.
No team news for another few minutes but James Hanson is certainly here...
And so is Sir Alex Ferguson checking on his lad's team!
