Bulls coach Francis Cummins has recalled Danny Bridge and Tom Olbison to his 19-man squad for Thursday's derby against arch-rivals Leeds.

The pair were omitted from the squad which lost to Salford Red Devils last week but are back in contention to face the Rhinos.

Anthony Mullally has being recalled by parent club Huddersfield, rookie forward Oliver Roberts has been suffering with illness and winger Luke George remains sidelined with a hamstring strain.

But Cummins has an otherwise full-strength squad as the Bulls seek to end a run of five successive Super League defeats in a match that Robert Hicks will referee.

Bulls' 19-man squad: Danny Addy, Matty Blythe, Danny Bridge, Matt Diskin, James Donaldson, Jamal Fakir, Dale Ferguson, Jamie Foster, Luke Gale, Lee Gaskell, Adam Henry, Elliot Kear, Brett Kearney, Manase Manuokafoa, Adam O'Brien, Tom Olbison, Adrian Purtell, Adam Sidlow, Chev Walker.

Can't see anything other than a big Rhinos win. Olbison should have been in the 17 for Salford.

Why have we got Hicks again I believe he has officiated at every game bar 1 in the middle or on the touch line

Which referee DO you want? There isn't a good one among them! There again why don't we bring some of the old ones out of retirement. I remember how good Alibert, Klein, Russell Smith, Fitzpatrick, Holdsworth, Thompson were, NOT!

The problem is the game is just too fast to referee properly. I also think its too fast for neutral supporters to watch. Most popular TV sports are played at a slower pace with plenty of time for replays and a chance for the commentators to explain what's going on. People are used to watching Soccer, Cricket, RU, Snooker, Boxing or athletic events such as 100m. All these sports have plenty of time to analyse what's just happened or what is about to happen. Rugby League has gone down the wrong avenue of faster is better. Its good if you understand it, but if you don't then there's no chance to keep up, just like most referees

Just asked the question how come we have had the same ref? Think they use the BEST refs for the TV so there is no ERRORS. Tried to explain the rules to a child watching for the first time, couldn't explain why knock ons ,forward passes were given and why commentators say " that was forward but take nothing away from that try it was brilliant" lol Don't expect to ever get a game with no HICk Ups

Van Bellen's Baby says...

When you look at the positioning of refs it is clear that they are not in the right place to see certain things - such as marginal forward passes for example. Obviously it therefore falls to touch judges to communicate anomalies, but because they are radio mic connected we no longer see a flag for anything other than ball out of play or foul play and as such the spectator is none the wiser about interventions. Might it be good if an instruction was given to officials that they must indicate any intervention (as opposed to advice) with the flag?
