Bradford Dudley Hill were edged out 25-24 in a controversial finish to their National Conference League match at Leigh East.
The Division Two game was evenly poised at 18-10 in favour of the hosts at the interval following two tries and a conversion from Hill wingman Neil Wall.
The tit-for-tat continued in the second half as the Parry Laners matched Leigh with further efforts from prop Kyle Bateman and stand-off Elliott Cousin, leaving Wall to ensure full reward and leave Hill just two points in arrears at 24-22.
Packman Ian Jefferson then powered in at the side of the posts with four minutes to go but the try was disallowed for a dubious forward pass.
Wall landed a penalty to level matters but it was the hosts who took the points and their first win with a last-gasp drop goal right on the final whistle.
