It is the penultimate round of the Bradford Amateur Rugby League Jack Senior Memorial Cup tomorrow (2.00).

But the winners of the semi-finals between West Bowling and Wibsey Warriors and Birkenshaw and Queensbury will not have the benefit of playing at Odsal Stadium, as has been the case for the last decade.

Finals-day crowds have been the envy of many professional clubs and have provided much-needed revenue for the community clubs.

However, Bradford League secretary Tom McCarthy explained: “We have been in touch with the Bradford Bulls by letter and in person with no result as to the use of the stadium for the finals.

“We will therefore have to seek an alternative venue to stage the games on the traditional date in May.”

West Bowling have no injury worries when they host Pennine League Premier Division rivals Wibsey Warriors at Emsley’s Recreation Ground.

The Warriors, however, will be without influential scrum half Luke Helliwell, free-scoring
centre Nick Fontaine and barnstorming prop Chris Vogel.

Holders Birkenshaw welcome Queensbury to East Bierley in another knife-edge tie.

Championship Division One Birky are having a frustrating time as a number of their players have left to play in summer leagues, while ’Bury are riding a crest of a wave, having qualified for the semi-finals of the BARLA National Cup last time out.

Queensbury, however, can roll out a bevy of big guns, including the return of
player-coach Andy Senior and front-rower Lee Kelly.

John Farr and Callum Murgatroyd miss out through injury but the loss will be tempered by the addition of Gareth Crowther and Rob Nagy.

In the Hudson Foster Supplementary Bradford Cup, Wibsey Warriors A face Queensbury A at Northfield Road.

The Warriors start as slight favourites due to their Second Division status, which is one jump ahead of the visitors.

However, the league standings will be of no concern to either team, both packed full of promising youngsters who will be straining at the bit to make it a double appearance for their respective clubs on cup final day - wherever it may be.

* Bradford Dudley  Hill welcome back a wealth of experience for the trip to Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two strugglers Leigh East on Saturday.

Kenny Smith has the injured trio of Neil Wall, Charlie Herbert and Kyle Carter available once again, while Adam Jefferson faces a late fitness test and is only a 50-50 chance.

Forwards Lee O'Connor, Tony Huby and Anthony Lawton definitely miss out, while Louis Singh, Joshua Chamberlain and Gareth Ramsden may be once again be involved after impressing against Kells last time out.
