BRADFORD No1 AA
With warmer weather forecast for this weekend, fish should now be feeding on all of the club’s still waters. Shelf Dam is producing catches of bream, roach and perch on maggot or worm. Gravel Pits on the River Calder is worth a visit for trout on the permitted baits of worm or fly. Carp are now beginning to show at Knotford and Kirklees so should be worth targeting this weekend.
For Sunday’s members’ match at Pilley’s, the gate will be open at 8.30am with the draw at 8.45am. The Saturday series of canal open matches at Rodley start on April 19. The anglers who expressed an interest in fishing in the National Championship on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal in the Wigan area on September 13 should contact 597328. All catch reports from our waters would be welcome. Entries for the specimen fish trophy to be submitted as per rule in the membership book.
