Bradford & Bingley have won their last three matches to vastly improve their chances of survival in SSE National League Three North.

But veteran back Phil Greaves has sounded a warning ahead of their home match against promotion-chasing Sale FC on Saturday.

Penrith are doomed on 20 points, but the Bees are in a logjam above them with only two points separating the next four, two of whom will go down.

The Wagon Laners and Billingham are on 44 points, with Percy Park, who have a game in hand, and Waterloo on 46 points.

Greaves said: “We played better against Westoe and Beverley than we did last Saturday when we defeated Billingham.

“And although they say it is the sign of a good side if they can win when they are not playing well, there is no way that we can get away with that kind of performance against Sale.”

Greaves added: “This is by far the toughest match on our run in. Sale are ambitious, very well organised and are used by Sale Sharks as an academy.”

The Bees have Ben Greaves available again, and must also make decisions over Rikki Sheriffe and Adam Wellington.

Cleckheaton, who have been promoted to Bradford & Bingley’s division, have already received several phone calls and e-mails of congratulation from sides in their division and above.

The SSE North One East champions are at Middlesbrough.

Keighley have reached the point of no return in SSE Yorkshire Division One and need to win their remaining three matches, starting with mid-table Wath at home.

Bradford Salem, who still have a mathematical chance of promotion from SSE Yorkshire Division Two, host relegated Baildon.
