Bradford No 1 extended their Yorkshire Inter-District League lead at the top of Division One to 11 points with a 6-0 whitewash of second-placed Leeds at Undercliffe Cricket Club.

Wayne Cooper edged a cagey first frame 66-32 against Leeds captain Tony Massey but found his form in the second with breaks of 36 and 87 to take it 123-4.

Bradford skipper Kevin Firth needed a 53 clearance to beat Lewis Gillan 64-44 and a 43 break in the second frame (76-36) ensured a 4-0 lead for the hosts.

Mark Slater made a 35 in taking his first frame against Mark Ball 63-40 and completed the excellent team result with a 41 break to clinch the last 69-39.

Bradford No 2 climbed to second in Division Two with a 5-1 victory against Wakefield No 1 at Cue Gardens.

Gareth Green looked in great form in his first fame against John Spooner, with two 30-plus breaks giving the current Bradford champion a 74-8 win.

His second frame was then something special as a fantastic total clearance of 137 earned a 3-1 lead.
