The Bulls have been handed a massive boost after Huddersfield prop Anthony Mullally extended his loan spell for the rest of the season.

Mullally has spent the past month on loan at the Provident Stadium but will now stay at Bradford unless Huddersfield exercise their right to recall him.

“I am really enjoying it here and it will help me, in terms of my performances, knowing where I am going to be playing,” said Mullally, who has made three appearances since arriving in February.

“I have had a good first month with the Bulls and am getting plenty of game time, which is fantastic.

“It is better for me because I know I am going to be here for the foreseeable future, rather than just another few weeks or so.

“I am committed to the Bradford cause and am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”

Mullally was ineligible to face his parent club last weekend, as the Bulls lost out to the Giants on home soil.

But the prop forward is in line to return to action this weekend for the trip to Hull Kingston Rovers.

Bulls head coach Francis Cummins said: “The best way to learn about playing Super League is to go out there and do it.

“You can train and play all you want but unless you’re doing it then you’re not going to advance your career properly.

“Anthony has been good for us; he just needs to know what playing week in and week out is all about. He gets the chance do that with us now.

“I have been really impressed with him over the last four or five weeks and it is fantastic to have him on board for the foreseeable future.”

Giants coach Paul Anderson said: “Anthony will stay at Bradford for the foreseeable future.

“We’ve a right to recall him so he can come back here at any time. He’s a front-rower, and Franny (Cummins) can’t seem to find any of those at the moment.

“The way the game is structured is that once you get past 19 and you’re not in the first-team squad, where do you play?

“He’ll be playing week in week out, and that’s exactly what we need. Anthony will be coming back a better player because he is getting game time.”
