The Bulls’ home game with arch-rivals Leeds has been brought forward 24 hours to Thursday, April 17 (8pm kick-off).

The Super League round nine clash was scheduled to be played on Good Friday but has now been switched to avoid clashing with Bradford City’s home match with Peterborough on the same night.

The rearranged fixture will also allow Francis Cummins’ squad an extra day’s recovery time ahead of the trip to champions Wigan on Easter Monday.

A Bulls spokesman said: “It has been well-documented, in recent years, that the two-day turnaround between games – over the Easter weekend – has proven detrimental to the players’ health and welfare.

“We believe this move will give the athletes on show the best chance possible of recovering from what is likely to be a bruising encounter, ahead of another crunch clash against last year’s Super League champions, Wigan Warriors, which follows on the Monday.”

The Bull say tickets for the clash - which is not being televised live - will state Friday, April 18 as the date of the match but will still be valid.

Common sense as prevailed, it's an excellent solution.many will be on holiday Good Friday,I think, it could be a much needed megga payday for the Bulls let us hope so.
