Twelve-year-old Kisler Flores, from Horizon Taekwondo Academy in Bradford, won a bronze medal at the British National Championships at the K2 Arena in London.
Kisler, from Allerton, who trains in WTF olympic taekwondo, was competing against 15 other students and finished overall third in the group.
The event was based on Poomsae, which is a set of predetermined movements called ‘patterns’ where each competitor performs a number of these patterns and is scored by a panel of judges.
Kisler’s coach Rick Simpson, a black belt 4th Dan from Horizon Taekwondo Academy, said: “Kisler is a model student. He trains hard, he focuses, he practices at home and keeps his cool when under pressure. He has got real potential.”
