Brighouse Town maintained pressure on the top two in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division as they cruised to a 4-1 home win.
Town took a second-minute lead through Danny Nadiole but failed to add to it in the first half.
That cost them as visitors Garforth Town wiped out the home side’s advantage just minutes into the second period, with Sam Akeroyd on target.
But Nadiole bagged his second midway through the second half and goals inside the last ten minutes from Ernest Boafo and Tom Matthews saw Town comfortably home.
They remain third but have several games in hand on the two clubs above them.
There were no home comforts for Albion Sports as Long Eaton United netted a last-minute winner to cap a second-half comeback in a remarkable 3-2 victory.
Danny Facey had given Sports a 15th-minute lead and Alex Cusack made it 2-0 just before the break.
But James Scott halved Long Eaton’s deficit eight minutes into the second half and Justin Jenkins levelled the match with a little over quarter of an hour remaining.
Courey Grantham, who had scored the winner in a 3-2 win over Thackley the previous Saturday, then got the visitors’ dramatic stoppage-time decider.
Thackley suffered another defeat when they went down 5-2 to Retford United at Dennyfield, despite twice taking the lead.
Nicky Matthews put the Dennyboys in front in the fourth minute but Retford’s Reece Thompson equalised. The home side regained the lead just before the half-hour mark through Mike Garrod but it lasted less than two minutes.
Gavin Cooper hit the leveller and also put Retford ahead for the first time in the 50th minute, before Thompson added his second and Paddy Mullen wrapped up the scoring late on.
Liversedge slumped to a 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Nostell MW. Former Eccleshill United defender Joe Penn scored the only goal to give his side’s survival hopes a huge boost.
Nostell remain second off the basement but are now just a point below the trapdoor and have three games in hand on third-bottom Winterton Rangers.
There was disappointment for Eccleshill United in Division One as they lost 2-1 at Shirebrook Town.
Aaron Moxam gave the home side the lead right on half-time and although Marcus Edwards equalised from the penalty spot midway through the second half, Moxam bagged his brace two minutes from time to win it for the home side.
