Bradford Bulls are targeting a momentous victory at Hull tonight as they bid to wipe out their six-point penalty after just four rounds.

The Bulls were hit with the deduction after the club was placed into administration but victories over Wakefield and London have lifted them to minus two points.

Francis Cummins believes his side can give their survival hopes a massive boost and put pressure on other teams with a win over the Black and Whites.

London, Wakefield and Catalan are all pointless after three rounds of the season while Bradford, armed with momentum after two straight wins and two new loan signings in Greg Burke and Liam Sutcliffe, are in buoyant mood.

Head coach Cummins said: “We spoke about wiping out the points penalty when it happened and said ‘we can get back to zero points a week on Friday’.

“That would be a huge thing, not only for us but it would also put pressure on a few other clubs too.

“There is a longer race and a bigger picture, but it’s good for us to know that when people tend to write you off, we are fighting back and having a good go at this.”

The club’s ownership remains uncertain as Leeds-based administrator David Wilson continues to field interest from a number of parties.

The deadline for bids is next Thursday but Cummins, while optimistic about positive developments on the ownership front, is remaining focused on on-field matters.

He added: “My job is looking after these young men and my staff, and doing the best by them. Hopefully we can do that by training as well as we can and getting results.”

Hull have suffered two defeats since their opening-day win over Catalan Dragons but Cummins, who will hand debuts to Burke and Sutcliffe, is expecting a stern test.

He said: “Saints and Warrington away are tough places to go and I don’t think Hull have been that far away.

“We’ve got to be a lot better than we have been in the last week or two to beat them.”

Meanwhile, the Bulls’ Good Friday home clash with Leeds is set to clash with Bradford City’s League One match with Peterborough.

City play host to Posh in a League One clash on Friday, April 18 at Valley Parade with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The Rhinos’ trip to Odsal has been confirmed as an 8pm kick-off on the same day and is not scheduled to be televised by Sky.

I will attend both games if both games are played at different times. I won't be paying £20 into the Bulls whilst I have a season ticket for City if the games are at the same time. 13k season ticket holders at City probably feel similar.
It's worth noting City schedule their game expecting the bulls to have 2.30pm kick off. It's just sky see Widness v Warrington as a bigger game these days than the Bulls and Rhinos.

I'd love to know who's bright idea this was. I can't imagine the Administrator is dumb enough to think it's a good idea to move a home game so it clashes with City, and so suspect it was out of his and the Club's control.

A bigger game is a matter of opinion. Every game is big for us this year. Though to be fair, Widnes v Wire will probably be a better game for TV. Were a way off Leeds at the moment.

I for one am not holding breath. Remember Guilfoyle and his multiple deadlines?

Tvor your blimp will be the only thing going up in that area for a while. I see your logic though if you pull a Hindenburg nobody will notice

I will be at odsal but my assistant will be skype-ing the game to me from VP. To hell with the expense. I can never see the rugby anyway what with the guy who sits in front and his "hilarious" jester hat
