Bradford Bulls 25 London Broncos 12

The Bulls put their off-field crisis to one side by eking out a potentially priceless victory against London Broncos this afternoon.

Francis Cummins’ side have been hit with a six-point deduction and the loss of Nick Scruton to Wakefield during the past week.

But they survived a fraught finale to claim victory over the Broncos and move on to minus two points in their battle to avoid relegation.

Luke Gale opened the scoring in exhilarating fashion in the 11th minute when he took Jamie Foster’s pass to finish off a flowing move inside the left channel.

The impressive Adam Sidlow barrelled over for a second in the 25th minute after London had lost Nesiasi Mataitonga and Mason Caton-Brown through injury.

Yet the Londoners replied in the 28th minute when on-loan Leeds winger Thomas Minns touched down in the right corner, making it 12-6 at the break.

But Danny Addy superbly rounded off some excellent work by James Donaldson for a third Bradford try in the 61st minute, giving them some vital breathing space.

London were not finished, however, and James Cunningham scored with 13 minutes remaining after a mistake from Foster.

That made it 18-12 but Gale’s drop-goal with five minutes remaining settled home nerves and Tom Olbison crashed over in the closing stages to confirm a famous victory.

A good 2 points today for the boys. I think if we can sort the off field issues out we will definitely escape relegation. The boys & the coaching staff all deserve a medal for what they are going through because it is bad enough for us true supporters. I must admit Mullally looks top drawer he was a beast today. I do not understand why Scrutes & Sammut couldnt have waited this season to see what happens has I believe they will be in the same mess with Wakey has they have been with us they will not make Wakey into a good side.We need to sign Mullaly up on a permanent deal once we get all clear to replace scrutes. I believe Mr Moore was at the game today why would he be there ??? Also does anybody know the attendance??

Depends what your definition of bailing us out is. When we went into admin in 2012 they stooped the £100,000 per month TV money to the club. Then "loaned" us the same money, to bail us out as you put it.

The RFL dallied for so long checking and re checking and putting obstacles in front of prospective buyers that buy Omar stepped in the Administrators bill was so large there was no money left for creditors.

The penalty for going into admin was 6 points which cost us a play off spot and loss of income.

The RFL thought it would be a good idea to put the condition of withholding the TV money from a club trying to get back on its feet. You couldn't make up.

The RFL then persuade the new board to buy the club from the new administrator then put them in special measures and dock them 6 points. Seems like they told these guys a different story in private meetings. The new guys resigned and now the administrators bill starts to grow once again

I'm not blaming the RFL for creating the problems that was down to bad management. But the RFL have mishandled the situation and may have put in place measures that will lead to one of its clubs to disappear from the sport losing thousands of RL supporters in the process.

Thats why i blame the governing body of the game for not only allowing but actually accentuating the process of killing the club. Directors will come and go and make mistakes in the process but the RFL should be protecting its stakeholders not pushing them out of the sport

You forgot to mention the attendances at the other games.I would suggest that 5400. for the London game was not bad at all considering all that the Bulls supporters are having to put up with. How many were at Salford on Thursday night, just over 6000 and that after Dr.Koukash has just spent a fortune and they were playing Saints who would have made up half the crowd. When Salford play London at home come on here and let us know the crowd. There again, why would you, your target in your sad,sad life is to see the Bulls go under.Your day will be complete when you can turn around and say"I told you so".What a sad, pathetic excuse for a man you are.

The Iestyn Harris affair was the beginning of our woes and this was compounded by the incompetence of successive Boards. I can understand some fans feeling the RFL are against us, but the governing body must be totally fed up of the continuing shenanigans at Odsal. If what's reported by the RFL is correct, I find it incredible that owners should attempt to buy a club, from the club's own income!

We've had two back to back games against weak opposition but credit to the playing and coaching staff for rising above the administrative shambles and getting maximum points. Games that appear easy on paper can always prove banana skins, as Stevenage showed yesterday. Full marks to FC for preparing his squad professionally.

Whilst the heart hopes for a miracle, the head still tells me we'll be lucky to survive and todays low turnout won't have enthused any potential bidders.

Your one of the loudest when it comes to slagging other clubs support off, and how the SL need the Bulls for their 5 figure crowds with 2,500 average away followings. Now when the Bulls get the figures you slag off suddenly it's not a bad effort.

Hi Spanglish. I had hoped that some of the stay away fans would have turned up today to support the lads. I think your earlier post about the level of attendances highlights the general state of the game today.

I think the major deterrent to any investor is our ground. The place is falling apart. Marwan Koukash had the benefit of investing in a club with a smart new stadium.

There have been many twists and turns at Odsal and who knows what will happen. I do feel, however, that any significant "moneyman" would have already shown his hand in the previous Administration. We live in hope!

TVOR What is your point? 5400 is the Bulls WORST attendance figure since super league began and yet it's still higher than many other SL clubs can get. Thats how important we are to the game. 5400 on a bad day.

I know Wakefield has a capacity of only 5000 that was my point. The thing is they still haven't got the "ground full" signs out perhaps they don't have any. Look on their website less than 2000 season ticket holders.

The RFL have helped any clubs. They dont promote the game. They are killing the game off. They dont even realise it. I'm one of RL most pasionate supporters, If i've had enough then so must many other people

Oh dear had a bad day have we ? I bet you and some of your mates ( Viking, Sheff, Brian and his wife, Spangles etc ) are people who think where there's blame there's a claim is normal.
THE RFL DID NOT LIVE BEYOND THEIR MEANS GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK HEADS.
If we all did the same and spent more than we could afford we would lose our houses, same applies trying to keep up with the Jones' at rugby.

Bronco you are wasting your time replying to TVOR. Best not feed him by replying. Best thing is just mark him down as a negative. That might get through to him that he is unpopular and remind him that he was low achiever at school and nothing has changed since then.

All super league clubs are spending over the salary cap I bet.You telling me the majority of clubs have been keeping under the cap you muppet. The whole point of the system was to stop clubs spending over the cap but obviously the numb nuts at he RFL have not been checking any clubs books or if they have they cant bloody ad up.The salary cap was supposed to offer an even playing field to all what a joke. The RFL cant even get sponsorship right ie the stobart deal. What a total farce that was just shows what morons we have running are game.To who ever does take over the bulls and has the misfortune to speak to the RFL I advise you to takea good barrister and record all conversations as you can trust them as far as you can throw em.To finish roll on Friday can not what to get to Hull and give the judas stick.
