Bradford Dragons returned to form in impressive style with a 72-65 win against the Westminster Warriors in London.

Bradford are now back on track for a top-of-the-table push. They sit in fourth spot with a 12-7 record, while boasting the second best attack in the league, having amassed 1,461 points.

Following a nervy start to the game, the Dragons trailed 18-16 at the end of the first quarter.

When they got into their natural rhythm, combined with brilliant full court pressure on defence, they opened up a 34-28 lead. The quarter was topped off by a spectacular put-back dunk from Dan Foley.

The third quarter was more of the same from the Dragons as they pushed their lead out to 51-41 with aggressive defence and great ball movement.

The fourth quarter was an entertaining, high-scoring affair as both teams left everything on the court. Westminster managed to outscore the visitors 24-21 in the final quarter but Dragons took home a 72-65 victory.

Foley topped the scoring charts with 23 points and ten rebounds, Rihard Sulcs contributing 12 points and Alejandro Navarro six.

Elsewhere, Bradford College Dragons under-16s beat Rotherham Hawks 125-83 to stay top of the EBL North East Conference, the under-14s travelled to Barrow Thorns and came away with a 96-50 victory to stay second in the EBL North Division and Dragons under-13s beat Hull Wasps 88-37 away to stay perfect for the season with 13 wins out of 13.

Dragons under-15s did not play but remain second in the EBL North East Division.

Dragons’ EBL Division One home game against Tees Valley Mohawks on Saturday tips-off in the sports hall of Bradford College, Trinity Road, Bradford at 6.15pm.
