Wow, you really are a seriously sad little man. I tried to get odds on you not turning up being a pathetic troll on City's pages every Saturday but the bookie refused to take the bet as the odds were so very, very long. Shouldn't you be trolling your big' rivals' in Manchester and Chelsea? They'll be green with envy at your big 0-0 draw

City's second three points in a row was most welcome but in all honesty, the claret/amber boys were fortunate indeed to get them! Up to the point when the MKD keeper missed his clearance kick allowing 'JH' to nip in/ convert an easy chance, a draw looked the most likely.

The back four had a solid game with Stephen Darby the big standout-my MOTM . Jonny Mac made some key saves and Rory McArdle looked better than he has been at times recently.

Gary Jones was his usual busy, reliable self, getting around like a player half his age and Reach again threatened. The young winger is rapidly becoming a favourite with the Bantams' faithful.

James Hanson worked hard but the partnership with Aaron McLean is yet to 'click' and 'AMc' was subbed during the second half when Thompson moved up front.

Two wins out of three successive home games SHOULD be converted to three by 5pm on March 1st v Stevenage...surely!! But, then again when do City have easy games? The main thing now is the supporters calling for 'PP' to go have been silenced as has talk of a relegation battle!

McLean was subbed off to change formation to 4-5-1 cos MK Dons were getting on top. He'd also tweaked his groin a little !

I understand about the need for an extra City midfielder v 5 MKD midfielders but would 'AMc' have been the one to be sacrificed if he'd been threatening to score?

Sorry no such thing as luck the goalkeeper should have done his job, you might say that Hansons effort hitting the crossbar was unlucky, to be fair it was MKD who produced the footballing with no end product city could have had at least 2 goals so well done City you deserved the 3 points.

I suggest that to be 'shocking' a player needs to have the ball and make countless mistakes and if he's a forward miss lots of chances. Other than a misplaced pass in the first half I'm struggling to think of another mistake that McClean made. He certainly didn't miss a chance because that would have meant he had a chance to miss and that isn't likely to happen anytime soon if he has to rely on Nathan Doyle and Zebedee for service. Nevermind Aaron McClean, the way we are set up and play I seriously doubt Messi or Ronaldo would make an impact.

a good three points no matter how it was achieved: another three in the next home game and we will be safe. Currently 9 points ahead of fourth bottom so we should be k soon.

I like the idea of 4-5-1 with two wide an and one on running midfielder to back up the centre forward and two generally defensive midfield players

I thought the Hanson and McLean partnership showed a bit more of an understanding but McLean doesn't look like the prolific goalscorer I thought we'd signed. He seems happiest when he's playing with his back to goal. Maybe we're going to have to change our style of play, with an advanced midfielder playing off him.

Meanwhile, over at Huddersfield, the ambitious one appears to be low on confidence and struggling to fit in during the early stages of his Town career. So, currently, there are no winners out of that deal.

Bradford1903 says...

I thought we played quite well in what was an open 1st half. For the first 20 mins after the break they dominanted, and it seemed like the exertions of midweek were catching up on us.

It might have seemed a negative move at the time, but what changed the game, was Parky switching to a 4-5-1. Granted, Hanson's goal which followed shortly after gave us something to hold onto, but with us having an extra man in midfield, we managed to disrupt the MK Dons fluid passing style; they were never the same threat, and it was us that finished the more dangerous side.

The last two results will make the Parky out critics crawl back under the woodwork. What they fail to understand, is that we haven't played that badly during our winless run, but the difference in these last two games is that we have had a bit of luck, as typified by Hanson's goal.

These are the same people who want the manager out 2 or 3 times every season. If they had their way last season during out bad run, then we would still be playing the likes of Accrington Stanley, so it shows their views have very little credibility.

The fact that they can never offer any praise to the team, especially after these last two performances, when they could've commented on the players character and determination, shows them up to be people who just love a good moan.

Stevenage are the next team to beat but we don't seem to have a good record against bottom clubs, lets hope this result goes against the grain.
If Maclean is not getting the service he requires to score goals , what was the point in signing him? If M.K . Dons played us off the Park in footballing terms , why aren't we playing football of that quality? 45% -55% , its not easy to play without the ball and MKD had the most of it, maybe we had a bit more luck . Can someone give a bit if a match report ?

Jones had his quietest and dare I say worst game in a while, Reach looked like he wasn't interested most of the time and struggled to match his performance on Tuesday, McLean and Hanson have found each other numerous times now and the partnership is a work in progress but will blossom, McLean looking hungrier and livlier game by game. His substitution was as much to do with the groin strain as it was tactics and Thompson came on to play in a 4-3-3 not as a second striker.

Apart from that, good review.

I will add that the change was likely anyway as MK had started to dominate for 10-15 minutes at that time.

The main thing now is the supporters calling for 'PP' to go have been silenced as has talk of a relegation battle![/p]
Apart from that, good review.[/p]
I will add that the change was likely anyway as MK had started to dominate for 10-15 minutes at that time. Prisoner Cell Block A
