Yes, you and your mafia boss owner are really heading back to the big time - that's why you're trolling the City pages because you've beaten fecking YOEVIL. Woooh, well done! Why aren't you on ManUres pages scaring them with tales of your incredible win? After all they're you're big rivals aren't they? The first half was as bad a display as I've seen from City in a long while. Hanson and McLean just hadn't any form of understanding. Given the number of new signings I guess we can't expect the revamped side to gel immediately, but I have to admire the fighting spirit that PP has engendered.

However, one win in twenty doesn't lie and if we don't get anything from the next two away games, we'll be sucked into a relegation dogfight. What really concerns me is the lack of firepower off the bench.

First half was worst i had seen us play in a long time but the second half was the best offensive display i have seen in ages. The facts don't lie though only 8 defeats in 29 league games for a newly promoted club. Now that is a stat that should tell some we are no where near as bad as some make out. Back the team and the manager guys as we just need a break to turn this around. We have only been beaten by 7 other teams from our league so we aren't that bad.

We drew this match and nearly lost it because of the 90 mins we only played football for 20 mins. The first half and after we had got level twice we played right into crewes hands long ball n surrender possession. This happened time n time again. We r then chasing the ball working our nuts off. U can not fault the effort of the front two they chased everything. Then after half time we start playing football to feet even to the chest of the front two Dolan n jones were passing it about and we create a number of chances which was great to watch. We draw level n go bak to being the home team under pressure this happened twice. Why not play the style of football we did for 20 mins and the beginning of the season for the majority of the game? If we did Crewe wud not known wat had hot them and I am convinced we would have had three points. Frustrating thing is we can play but we use this long ball kick with no rush as our default tactic, y? I was really impressed with Dolan but if we continue to kick n no rush he will b wasted here. Love McLean work rate we now need to supply some chances his way n kick n rush does not seem to be his way. Every confidence in the squad if we play football n sign a left bak for balance and attacking threat. Crewe shud not be dominating possession n scoring three times at vp.

Parkys tactics are far too rigid I'm afraid. Your not allowed to move from your designated area and definitely don't run without the ball so that someone can find you in space with a pass. ......dolan wad leggy si wrong sub for me. Thompson added nothing whilst Bennett was still a threat. Should maybe have tried Atkinson and really gone for it. ........having said that wr finally got some goals from midfield. Jones was superb again. ........defence all over the place but it's the backing off that's the main problem allowing them to get shots in to easily. ......the only tactical change we seem capable of doing is to swap wingers over. ......that must really make the opposite manager have to think ;)....

We were bad really bad in the first 30 mins. That is some shocking football. why oh why we did not sign a LB???? Are you telling me that in the whole of the football world there is not a LB in reserves or not getting first team football? What do our scouts do.. and what does Parky think he is doing!!??

I have posted on this forum before and people have been slating me for telling it how it is. 1 win in 20?? Seriously Mr Parkinson when are you going to start playing football and stop bringing in half hearted loan players, who you do not even play, your tactics do not work and your overall man management of certain players has been shocking.

Superman Jones had to save us again. If it wasn't for him we were in serious trouble. Bates at LB error prone and just doesn't have the pace for the role. Joe Mclughlin is shocking as keeper. We need to win games badly and next season we need a new manager!!!!

Bates did ok at left back and joe mclughlin whoever he is can be a shocking keeper as he doesn't play for us. As for 1 win in 20 I will again throw in 8 defeats in 29 with only 7 teams in this league beating us. Parky has to stay next season to continue the good work with the foundations he has laid. I heard PPs post match interview and I wasn't really sure what he meant. He said we were too negative in the first half and didn't get the ball to Hanson quick enough. Was he saying we are just not good enough to play it through the middle and we are better served missing them out? I thought jones looked tired and off the pace in the first half. Maybe try Dolan and Atkinson before we abandon playing football altogether.

I think anyone calling for PP's head is either misguided, has little comprehension of the big picture or is simply mischief making. I could understand it if we were languishing at the foot of the table, points adrift and getting hammered every week. We're not. We came into this division on a tide of euphoria, which led many people to delude themselves into believing we would somehow breeze into the top two and gain another promotion. The start to our season further fuelled this delusion. The reality of course is that we came into the division with predominantly the same team/squad that took us up. I believe PP had a duty of loyalty to these players as did we supporters, but I also suspect that he knew, in order to progress changes were needed, not just to personnel but to the style of play. The summer acquisitions, for whatever reason, haven't worked out. The players brought in during January, coupled with NW's departure allow the playing style to change, but it's not going to happen overnight, more evolution than revolution. I for one have faith in PP. I think he's a thoughtful manager who knows what is needed. Furthermore I will always be grateful t him for the journey he has taken us on since his arrival.

No. Those deluded are the ones living a fantasy world that will sweep us all of to Wembley every few months. Less than two years ago, the club was going out of the league. Less that one year ago, twelve points (or more) shy off the play-offs. Now: consolidating in League One and re-building for next term. But berating the manager does no one any good at all.We have to remember he has not been given money to Buy Players with.He is a this moment in time still having to deal with free transfers loans ect and is not able to go out and spend £100,000 or more on a player that is a matter for the board to address should they wish to do so. However sooner or later someone will have to produce some cash if we are to continue to progress for we have reached a point where out of contract players loans ect will not drive us any further up the ladder. Phil Parkinson is a good manager so please get off his back UNLESS YOU FEEL YOU CAN DO A BETTER JOB. Basically we have defended poorly; McHugh was at fault for the 1st and was shaky thereafter. Davies looked like a player that had been out for a long time.

The one thing you can't deny about this team is their spirit. We could've quite easily had 3 or 4 in the opening 5 minutes of the 2nd half, and lesser sides would've rolled over, when they go up the other end and make it 2-0.

Two great strikes from Jones, and his performance makes a mockery of those who had been criticising him, but as we all know on here, everybody loves a scapegoat.

It's a pity Hanson didn't score from those two headers, as he should've done, and we would be talking about a great comeback.

One of three or four comments worth reading on this whole thread. Thank goodness not all our fans are knee jerk numpties.

The new lads are bedding in, Crewe played the conditions and us very well in the first half closing us down extremely quickly, this pattern changed after half time and it was us using the conditions and harrying them.

Crewe looked a completely different side to the one at Gresty Road, then again so did we but I do not think they are as bad a team as is being made out. Especially not with their new loanees in too.

Of our recent incomings I'd say Reach played well, Dolan was ok in bursts and Bennett needs a little more composure and to hug his line more, unless it is a tactic by the manager he comes in from the wing but I cannot see the point of that.

I thought McLean was static and disinterested in the first half but once again, allowing for the conditions we rarely got the ball anywhere near him. His second half display was just short of a master class in how to hold and lay off as a striker, his problem is going to be reading Hanson, we will not change style and he must be the one to make the moves in and around James as that is where we will be knocking the ball, as mentioned by Parky post match but seen with our eyes for 2 years.

This is going to remain a tactic so those wanting free flowing football through the middle of the park best make plans to go elsewhere. The reason it will remain is that we have the perfect player to play this way and the high percentage of balls won in the final third give you the front foot in most situations, even if you lose possession the opponents still have 10 outfield players to get past and if you keep possession, well, you are in the final third, basically the aim of the game.

I don’t think we played it any less down the middle in the 2nd half than we did in the first. Helped by the fact that we were closer to the strikers (and the weather) I think that in the 2nd half we put better quality balls into the front 2, which they had a chance to control. I think the plan was to soak it up in the first and hope for a lucky break for the front 2. Then go for it in the second. Unfortunately best laid plans and all that. For whatever reason PP did not want to admit it. IMO, it is a big ask for McLean to take over the roll of Well (getting on the end of flick ons etc) but, as we saw, if we play a bit more to his strengths he is more effective. It is also clear that there is much potential for a McLean partnership with Hanson. BTW, I thought that was the best I have ever seen JH play. He was good at what he does in the first half, but with some great hold up play went on to prove that is he has the ability to do more in the second (the turn of the defender was sublime) and it was a real shame he didn’t get the winner.

Someone described that chest trap, sidestep and shot as...

Hanson chested it down like Hazard, turned like Messi and shot like Altidore, quite funny I thought.

I can not understand why people are calling for Phil Parkinson's head, he arguably the best Manager we have had in recent times, anybody who thought we were going to waltz through League one into the Championship is surely deluded. We are a team in transition and we will not be relegated, we will end up in mid table, which will be a fantastic achievement for a team who in recent times were hanging onto League status. Last year was fantasy football, this is real life football. I have followed Bradford City for 45 years and believe that Phil Parkinson will build a team that will achieve Championship football in the coming years. All you muppets who are calling for sackings, they achieve nothing, get a grip lads, keep calm and get behind the Manager and the team.

^^^^^^^^ THIS.

I'm in my 42nd year of support and this is the more favoured view of people of that age. A bit of stability and support for such is what is needed now, not chop and change to try bring immediate success. We have built up the fan base again, we have built up the goodwill we have sold a player for decent money for the first time in as long as I can remember and are moving forward as a whole club.

People will say the fanbase and goodwill will dwindle without success, that may be but it won't ever drop as far as the sub 2k crowds we used to have playing Workington and Southport on a wet Wednesday night. Stick with the team and club and we can and will progress. Trying to rip it up and start again for a boom will only see a bust.
