Old Modernians Fourths were overwhelmed 4-0 at new Division Four leaders Churwell Lions in one of just three Yorkshire Amateur League matches to escape the poor weekend weather.

The first half finished scoreless as sixth-placed Old Mods held their own but the Lions then stepped up a gear as they made it five games without defeat.

Ash Oates paved the way with his 18th goal of the campaign, before a Joe Hill hat-trick ensured a third successive defeat for the visitors.

Other matches to be played saw unbeaten defending champions Gildersome Spurs Old Boys see off FC Headingley 4-1 in the Senior A division, with Matty Moon scoring twice.

And Spurs OB Reserves were 1-0 winners at Huddersfield Amateur Reserves in Division One as an Adam Cater goal lifted them to fifth.

One cup tie saw Morley Town become only the third Yorkshire Amateur League side to reach the West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy semi-finals after a 3-2 extra-time win at Ossett Common Rovers.

Matthew Ibbotson struck twice as the Division One leaders set up a clash with Craven League outfit Settle United, who boast a 100 per cent league record, for a place in the final.
