Paul Doughton’s superb 103 clearance proved the highlight of Pontarddulais Cons A’s convincing 6-1 victory against Llandybie Social A in the Llanelli Snooker First Division.

Simon Williams, Steve Doughton, Jonny Wilcox and Anthony Lewis added points for Bont while Karl Evans claimed Llandybie’s only frame-win.

Elsewhere, Upper Tumble Blues edged an aggregate 4-3 win against Snooker World A, thanks to Alan Samson, Carwyn Cue and C Rees. Alan Jones, Mike Woods and Elwyn Lewis struck for the Ammanford potters.

Mark Hughes, Rhodri Treharne and Liam McGhee earned Llandybie RFC a 4-3 win at Electric C while Morfa surprisingly crashed 6-1 at home to New Lodge A.

Elsewhere, Adam Griffiths, Duane Griffiths, Jonathan Ball and Matthew Jones gave Pontarddulais Workmens’ a 4-3 win against Matchroom A.

Legion Whites posted a much-needed 6-1 victory against Llanesco B as Matchroom A sealed a 5-2 win against Penygroes RFC, whose winning duo were Chris Waters and Paul Garritty.

In Division Two, Rhodri Llewelyn and Nigel Powney were on top for CGMD Fishermens’ in a 5-2 defeat at Llanesco A while another Cwmaman side, Garnant Club, crashed 6-1 at Tycroes RFC A - only veteran Keith Williams’ win staved off the dreaded whitewash. Mike Davies, Martin Davies, Geoff Jones, Matthew Bromham and Tim Lewis all won for Tycroes.

Reading Room Reds defeated Cons A 5-2 and Bryn were beaten 4-3 at Gorseinon Workmens. Mike Dodd, Darren Thorne and Tudor Lloyd won for the Brighton Road cuemen. M Wood, B Bachelor and Terry Morgan helped New Lodge B edged a 4-3 success against Carway A while Llanelli Cons B were 5-2 conquerors of Reading Room Blues.

In Division Three, Tim Walters, Dai Lewis and Richard Friend were on song for Llandeilo Hall in a fine 4-3 win at Calsonic Rivals.

Carway B hammered Cross Hands C 7-0 while C Bishop, J Williams and T Rees gave Upper Tumble Reds a 4-3 win at Snooker World B, whose winning trio were Dafydd Lewis, Corey Gleaves and Alun Ashmund.

Llandybie Social B beat Pont Cons B 4-3 thanks to Peter Rees, James Hagley and Dennis Williams. Alan Hiddlestone, Gary Thomas and Dai Porter hit back for Bont.

Elsewhere, Endaf Jones, Alan Griffiths and W Rees gave Great Mountain, Tumble, a narrow 4-3 win at Pont Cons C. Julian Williams, Geraint Thomas and Dai Mayhew won for the home side.

Dai Warlow provided Loughor’s solitary point from a 6-1 loss at Cross Hands A, whose frame-winners were Gary Stead, Hywel Pritchard, Matthew James, Arwyn Pritchard and Roy Foster.
