The Bulls have announced the arrival of Warrington rookies James Saltonstall, Joe Philbin and Tom Walker on short-term loans.

The highly-rated young trio have today begun training with head coach Francis Cummins' first-team squad after agreeing four-week loan deals.

Cummins said the youngsters would benefit from full-time training while securing game time during the Bulls' upcoming pre-season friendlies.

"We are delighted to have James, Joe and Tom on board," said Cummins.

"I expect them all to feature over the coming weeks, as we step up preparations ahead of the new season.

And they will be training alongside our first-team players, building their experience and further improving their skills.

"As a trio they certainly bolster our squad in terms of numbers and their enthusiasm, I am certain, will be clear from the outset.

"Though young, they arrive with bags of ability and potential for the future."

Saltonstall, who played in Italy's memorable World Cup warm-up victory over England, last October, Philbin and Walker could all feature in the Bulls' January and February pre-season battles.

Cummins' men are scheduled to take on Hull FC on Sunday, January 19, Dewsbury Rams on Sunday, January 26, and Castleford Tigers on Sunday, February 2.

I'm puzzled too. On the face of it we have enough players on board to cope with three friendlies. Are they just bolstering the squad or could they be replacements for impending departures? It's difficult to take anything at face value at Odsal these days.

Looking into it I believe Wire are training in Oz at the minute. These are the kids that are touch and go first team. Reckon we are just scratching Wire's back with this, with the view that maybe Evans returns for free for a couple of monhs at some point? Or similar.

Is it not feasible that the Club has a good working relationship with Warrington - which means it's a two way street. Matty Blythe and Ben Evans point to this in our favour, maybe this short term arrangement is beneficial to both parties. Time will tell.

This just seems to be two clubs helping each other out and building relationships. If the squad is away and these three are left behind we are helping them out with the hope that when we ask them for a favour with a proper loan player they will agree. I don’t think there is too much to be read into this other than Franny and Tony seem to be getting on well. We have to be careful how the T and A write it up as they can sometimes make it appear to be something it isn’t.

The above info can be found in an article in the Yorkshire Post. They give you an unbiased view of what is happening at Odsal as well. Ie NO negativity, as we find with this chip wrapper.
Oh, it seems like someone on the INSIDE has fallen out with the T&A.
It must be RHP or Duffer. Surely it is not the Paper or Reporters fault the Club is in Mess. Always someone else to BLAME. Will the Bulls ever recover with this Attitude towards poor Ross .

You demand no negativity in stories, RABTID. Are you for real? Do your want all stories regarding the latest financial mess and political in-fighting just brushed under the carpet, kept from the fans purely so people are hoodwinked into thinking all is well. Get real. People want to know the facts and that is exactly what is being reported. The good and the bad are published so fans are kept in the loop. Last time I heard, that was the job of a newspaper. Not hiding the truth to make things look hunky dory.. Read the back stories. There are positive stories there too. Take off the blinkers.

Try reading records at Companies House, MM is still on the board, nothing on there about him resigning. You've been given some poor info. Also this has already been discussed in the comments on the article before this one. This is what I mean, people on here hell bent on causing bother, but knowing nowt. All it takes is a phone call to Odsal and ask the question, you'll get the right answer.
