The Bulls have announced the arrival of Warrington rookies James Saltonstall, Joe Philbin and Tom Walker on short-term loans.

The highly-rated young trio have today begun training with head coach Francis Cummins' first-team squad after agreeing four-week loan deals.

Cummins said the youngsters would benefit from full-time training while securing game time during the Bulls' upcoming pre-season friendlies.

"We are delighted to have James, Joe and Tom on board," said Cummins.

"I expect them all to feature over the coming weeks, as we step up preparations ahead of the new season.

And they will be training alongside our first-team players, building their experience and further improving their skills.

"As a trio they certainly bolster our squad in terms of numbers and their enthusiasm, I am certain, will be clear from the outset.

"Though young, they arrive with bags of ability and potential for the future."

Saltonstall, who played in Italy's memorable World Cup warm-up victory over England, last October, Philbin and Walker could all feature in the Bulls' January and February pre-season battles.

Cummins' men are scheduled to take on Hull FC on Sunday, January 19, Dewsbury Rams on Sunday, January 26, and Castleford Tigers on Sunday, February 2.
