Bradford Park Avenue were left kicking their heels today as the wet weather caused their game to be postponed.
Avenue were denied the chance to avenge Boxing Day’s defeat at Stockport County when the reverse fixture in the Skrill North bit the dust.
The pitch at Horsfall Stadium passed an inspection this morning but the rain refused to relent.
A subsequent look at the surface, which was holding water by then, saw the game called off less than two hours before the scheduled 3pm kick-off.
It was one of five games in the division to fall foul of the weather but Avenue remain in 13th place ahead of this Saturday’s home clash with Worcester City.
