What an unbelievable year 2013 has been for this club. It was definitely the best of my career.

You go on about playing in big games and facing big players but when you look back at the end, you want to see what you’ve achieved.

It’s about success and winning and we’ve done that in the last 12 months.

I keep saying about how much the place has changed from the one I first came to. It was a bit all over the place at the time and the whole structure has improved so much.

Credit for that should go to everyone – the chairmen, the manager and his staff and the players. Everyone has taken on board what we need to do.

Even when we got well beaten in the cup final against Swansea, all everybody talked about was getting back to Wembley.

You could see that determination in the eyes of anyone you spoke to. We knew we’d be back – and winning second time round.

I’m so happy for the fans because they have had to put up with so many years of misery.

A lot of people would have walked away but they kept turning up week against week in League Two and pushing the lads on.

Good things come to those who wait and they have deserved the success we’ve managed to bring them. It’s such a massive high to see so many smiles on faces.

The success has driven us all on and we don’t want to stop there. This season we want to repeat that if possible and keep pushing on.

I’m genuinely convinced that we can go up again, if not this year then next. We’re going through a sticky patch but there’s nobody in this league that scares us.

We all know Bradford shouldn’t have been in League Two. They shouldn’t really be in League One.

How good would it be if we could get this club back into the Championship again?

We’re going in the right direction and I want to be a massive part of that. I’ve enjoyed my football here more than at any other club and I want to keep moving us forwards.
