BRADFORD CITY AA

The last match of 2013 is the Geoff Scollick Cup and Christmas Cheer on the River Ure at Lower Dunsforth on Sunday. Tickets are £15 all in and are available from the match secretary on 07875-275749 or 01423-523368. The club has ended 2013 with well over 1,000 members, a small increase over 2012. Membership renewals for 2014 are running at record levels, with the new annual Gargrave permit for our fly-only stretch on the Aire being a great success. Full details of the club, costs and how to renew membership can be found on the website at www.bradfordcityaa.co.uk. The club will also be selling 2014 yearbooks at Staveley Lakes, dates to be announced shortly. Members have reported good bags of chub, including fish of over 6lb from the Swale after the rain last weekend. Fishing on other BCAA waters is holding up well in the continuing mild weather. The long-range weather forecast for the Dales is for heavy overnight rain at the weekend, and many river levels may then be high for fishing. Anglers might therefore wish to focus their fishing efforts on the club’s coarse fishing stillwaters at Staveley, Shipton and Oakworth.

Renewals for senior members will cost £44 and membership for ladies, veterans and intermediates will be £24. This is available to purchase from all the usual tackle outlets (Pudsey Angling Supplies new for 2014), online (www.bradfordno1.com) or from ticket & licence secretary Simon Freer on 01706-526356.
