Tyersal gained a West Riding County Amateur League boost after their dismal first half of the season as they upset Premier Division high-fliers Littletown 3-0.

Second-placed visitors Littletown would have displaced Ovenden West Riding at the summit with even a draw but instead it was Tyersal who were celebrating as they climbed out of the bottom two.

Damian Rushworth’s goal gave the Bradford hosts a first-half advantage, before Mark Beale and an own goal enabled them to pull away after the interval.

Campion dominated for most of their home derby against local rivals Salts but could only manage a 1-0 victory.

Liam Charles latched on to a pass from Matthew Ward on the hour mark to clinch the points from this mid-table contest.

Third-placed Golcar United and Kirkburton, who are fourth, shared ten goals in a top-flight thriller.

Adam Hill and Ryan Jagger both scored twice to add to a Scott Sykes strike for home side Kirkburton.

But Golcar gained a point with goals from Conor Sykes (2), Craig Roscoe, Liam Rothery and Jack Smith.

Steeton were left without a game when Huddersfield-based hosts Storthes Hall found their ground to be waterlogged.

Meanwhile, league leaders Ovenden West Riding booked their place in the second round of the Premier Division Cup with a 3-0 victory over neighbours Halifax Irish. Two John Booth goals were backed up by one from Jordan Coduri.

Two defeats in three games have left Division One pace-setters Hunsworth looking over their shoulders at the chasing teams.

Fourth-placed opponents Lower Hopton, in their second season out of the top flight, narrowed the gap to seven points with a 3-2 away win.

Andrew Yates, Adam Walsh and a Paul Pike penalty edged out two goals goals from Dale Wright for the hosts.

This result enabled Ventus-Yeadon Celtic to take over top spot by a point after a 1-1 draw at home to Campion Reserves. Billy Swiatek netted for Ventus, with Chris Graham replying for the mid-table visitors.

West Horton climbed into the top half of the division as an Arsalan Mahmood double, backed by further goals from Mudastan Rajas, Lee Smith and Jordan Nathan, earned a 5-3 win at Tingley Athletic.

A first-half Rob Barraclough goal was not enough to gain Salts Reserves any reward against Westbrook YMCA, who had Chris Egan and Ian Craig on target in a 2-1 success.

DRAM Community surged back into pole position in Division Two on goal difference ahead of Dudley Hill Rangers, who were without a game, after a 4-1 home win over bottom side Bradford FC.

Joe Carter (2), Craig Thompson and Will Davidson ensured maximum points, while Andrew Royston supplied the only consolation.

Tyersal Reserves lost their first game in six outings with a 2-0 setback at third-placed Ovenden West Riding Reserves, with Matthew Mason and Matt Smith scoring either side of the interval.
